Yoke Cap Bolts – August 7, 2015

NOTICE TO SAFARI OWNERS REGARDING YOKE CAP BOLTS

Due to difficulties securing a dependable supply of the yoke cap bolts currently in use, we have begun using a different type of high tensile hex cap bolt to secure the yoke caps of the rotor head.

The current yoke cap bolt, which is also a high tensile bolt, is dark grey in color and has a 12 point head. Those bolts DO NOT need to be replaced due to this change.

The bolt we are adopting has a hex head, which is drilled for safety wire. It has a yellow cadmium plating. The correct torque setting for this bolt is 19 foot pounds.

The purpose of this notice is to make Safari owners aware of the change and to advise of the correct torque setting if they receive these bolts. Photos of the bolt which is coming into use are below.

Please contact the factory with any questions or concerns.
