During my 250 hour inspection I replaced the teeter pin bushings. This is not called out in the inspection, but I believe it should be. What I found was that one of them was cracked and both showed wear. This is a relatively simple job (with the gantry crane).

    1. Pull the 4 bolts that hold the caps in place.
    2. Blow compressed air into the hole on the outside of the caps. The bushings will pop out.
    3. Press in new bushings. They go in easily.

Despite the fact that they are cut on a CNC lathe I suspected that the replacement would affect the head shift. The picture confirms my suspicions. It shows that it moved about 0.020″. Being this far out would have produced a noticeable imbalance if I had run it up. I reset to 0 on both sides and the world is a happy place.
