Ok let’s try to start some interest here.

I recently completed my Annual and 250 hour inspection. In the process I discovered that I had broken springs on the clutch shoes. This requires removal and replacement of the trans. This is not a big deal if you have the Gantry Crane from Harbor Freight. Reinstalling can be a pain. I figured out a better way. I am not claiming this as an original idea, but it is worth sharing. In the picture you can see several large zip ties tied together. This simply slips over the shoes and you can tighten them up. These hold the shoes in and will simply slip out of the way once the shoes are installed in the drum.

    Way better than tape.

The Harbor Freight Gantry Crane is shown in the second picture.
